Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that involves biodynamic touch of bony areas of the body as well as direct attention to organs, the lymph, and the cerebrospinal fluid. It addresses trauma through the softening of the tissues and attention to the fluid movements of the body. This therapy aims to improve the function of the central nervous system and support the body's natural healing processes. Craniosacral Rhythm: CST is based on the idea that there is a subtle rhythmic movement within the craniosacral system, which is linked to the production and flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Practitioners believe that imbalances or restrictions in this rhythm can affect overall health. Gentle Touch: Practitioners use light touch and gentle pressure to assess and manipulate the craniosacral system. The touch is usually very subtle, with the therapist often working with just a few grams of pressure. Release Tension: The goal is to release restrictions and tensions within the craniosacral system, which is thought to help alleviate pain, stress, and other symptoms. This is done by addressing the fascia, membranes, and other connective tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Holistic Approach: CST is used to address a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, headaches, stress-related disorders, and even emotional issues. It is considered to be a holistic approach, aiming to balance the body’s physical, emotional, and mental aspects. Therapeutic Sessions: Sessions typically involve the client lying fully clothed on a treatment table while the practitioner gently palpates and adjusts the craniosacral rhythm.

Cancellation Policy

We require 48 hours notice to cancel appointments free of charge. After this, there is a 50% charge for cancellations within 24 hours and 100% charge for no-shows and cancellations on the day.
